Sony CDP-101 - The First CD Player

The Sony CDP-101 is the world's first commercially released Compact Disc player. It was released in Japan on the 1st October 1982 and sold for 168,000 yen which is around £1185 (in 1982).  

The Sony CDP-101 became available in the UK in March 1983.

It is in good working order and can be demonstrated if connected to an external amplifier.

We do not have the remote control for it.
