The Simmons DrumX was a short lived toy for your PC computer.

 

It was a mouse mat that conected to your SoundBlaster sound card and allowed you to play realistic sampled drums from your PC. The pads were even velocity sensitive!

 

Sadly, because it relied so much on customers having a specific SoundBlaster card it was ultimately unsuccesful.
